Our youth group is going to Sharps Corner, South Dakota,
Where we will find a Native American tribe called the Lakota.
We will witness all week,
Of our Christ we will speak.
The Kids will learn of him through VBS,
We hope that it will lead to success.

The church we will stay at is quite small, that must be told
And the pastor's home is filled with toxic black mold.
But we will work all day long to clean out the mildew
How we would do it if we didn't have God, We havent a clue

Like last year, after a week, we will come back home
To our fancy houses and of our petty problems we will moan
But the Native americans will still be in dispair
and next summer we will go back there

But we hope that this year might be different
That we can show them the love of God's son who was sent
To die for thier sins
Even Them, The indians.

And hopefully we wont go back home the same,
Maybe this time our hearts, by God, will be changed

Not really a poem

Ok, Ok, sorry- Ive been so busy with school final exams, and other stuff that I haven had time to post- so here it is

Every day I pass that book and think "I need to read it"
then I think "I dont have time, maybe later"
and as I walk away, the author looks down from above and frowns
"She needs my reasurance," he thinks
"she needs to know how to face her problems
but instead, she ignors my advice, having no time"
then one day, after having ignored the book again,
i face a problem i can solve, and i think to myself
"Lord What do i do-i dont know how to handle this"
And he looks down and tells me,
"if only you had read my book. there is a story in there about this.
If you had taken the time, i could have shown you the passage
and you would now how to face this problem- but you ignored me."
so now, every day, as i walk by that book on the shelf, i think
"I have time to read because He has many things to share with me"


Ok, this really isnt a poem, but it shows how my life has changed recently because i have seen the need to read my bible because by reading every day, i learn more and can face my problems more prepared
