The english language is so weird

I found the coolest word today- its antagonym (also reffered to as a Contronym)-- which is a word that has 2 meanings that contradict each other
some of my favorites are:
Bound: Moving ("I was bound for Chicago") vs. Unable to move ("I was bound to a post", or less literally, "I was bound to my desk")
Clip: to attach vs. to cut off
custom - usual(it was our custom) vs. special(it was custom made)
Left: To remain (we are the only ones left at the party)vs. to have gone (he left the house)
Refrain: In song, meaning to repeat a certain part vs. To stop (Please refrain from using bad language)
Rocky: Firm, steadfast vs. tending to sway
Transparent: Easily seen ("His motives were transparent.") vs. invisible (the plastic was transparent)
Trim: To add things to (trim a Christmas tree) vs. or take pieces off (trim hair)
put out - extinguish(she put out the light), generate (The stove puts out heat)
weather - withstand( to weather the storm) wear away (the stone was weathered)

There is also the word Pseudopposites which are oppostie phrases that mean the same
Such as:
Burned up, Burned down: (Both mean destroyed.)
Fat chance; slim chance: (Both mean "not too likely")
Cool; hot: (Both mean wonderful [Slang], e.g., when applied to a car)

Sick of being sick

Ok- so like 30 years ago when people were home sick and bored, they would read a book, write a letter, or do something handy like knit (ok, maybe not knit, but I couldn't think of anything else) now a days, when we're stuck at home, too sick to leave, but bored and we cant sleep anymore, what do we do? We surf the internet, write emails, watch satellite TV,maybe read a book, then we check emails, watch more TV, and when there's nothing left to do, we write on our blogs- things sure have changed over the years!

if you haven't guesses already, I'm stuck at home, sick. I have some sorta flu thing that makes my head hurt every time I stand up, and I cant breath through my nose. So, since I have been stuck inside for 2 days, I'm starting to go insane! I have checked my email about 25 times, I have looked up everything on the internet that I haven't had time for in the last month, I have watched way too much TV, I have read half a book, and I have installed a program on my now fix computer ( I don't think I mentioned that my computer died a few weeks ago and my dad finally fixed it!!!!!), I watched 12 episodes from a TV show from the 1980's, and I have slept for over 20 hours.-
I'm sick of being sick!

but, I did manage to find this really cool show on TV called drive thru history- it pretty cool because they talk about history and then tie it with biblical things-like one of them talked about how if Alexander the great (who wanted to concur the world) hadn't taught the Greek language to the cites he went thru, then after Christ's resurrection, the disciples would not have been able to talk with the people because they would have spoken many different languages- ok, I'm not sure if that made any sense, but it was really cool how the guy explained it

I'm going to go finish my book now- I've spent too much time on the computer
